The New-born Deigma Barca Zero

Deigma, the Barca Zero, the 10meter- electric propulsion boat of Cima1915 group, has been launched. Developed by the Luca Brenta Yachts boatyard (B-Yachts), Deigma is the new-born boat of the lucky B34 range, designed to offer speed in any wind condition. An elegant-shaped boat, easy to handle, full crew or solo. The combination of key factors such as lightness, advanced construction technology and minimal interior design, in addition to elegant and fast waterlines have resulted in an impressively performing regatta boat and a versatile yacht for relaxed sailing as well. Barca Zero represents a key concept for Deigma project, in fact, its value and meaning stretch far beyond launching a boat. It is actually a complete system for testing and measuring the performance in water of the latest generation Deigma electric motors, the battery pack, the control components, the elements for power generation.
On Barca Zero, Deigma concentrates the whole experience gained by the CIMA1915 group present for over forty years in the nautical sector, during which it has equipped over 500,000 boats with advanced, reliable, safe and long-lasting solutions.

Barca Zero promotes the 48 volt standard
At the moment Barca Zero is equipped with the air-cooled Deigma Air 8,5-48 2000 da 7.0 KW (15.5 KW peak) to the propeller. Equally, all the servo motors work at this voltage, which is proving to be the ideal solution for boating since it can offer great advantages.
In fact, voltage and amperage are inversely correlated quantities. With the same power (watts), the lower the voltage (12 or 24 volts), the higher the amperage required. Hence the need to adopt separate circuits, with wires of larger cross-section, also taking into account the voltage drops due to the considerable distances existing on a boat between the generator/battery and the various engines. The most recent trends concern the adoption of a higher voltage, unique and specific for boating, which also ensures increased efficiency.

The identification of 48 volts as the ideal solution takes into account two factors: the increase in voltage with consequent decrease in amperage, already described above, and safety criteria that warn against higher voltages, given the proximity of the water to the systems.

Floating laboratory
Barca Zero offers Deigma the opportunity for an authentic test bench in the water. In fact it is already designed to accommodate and test the whole Deigma set: different regimes of motor rotation and power, they employ air/liquid cooling and can be supplied with or without reduction gear. Discover here all the Deigma motors.

Thanks to Barca Zero, Deigma represents a unique and exclusive partner, specialized in consulting and in supplying shipyards, maintainers and individuals with the original equipment or managing the zero-emission boat transformation.
